Multiply 7x7=49 inches squared.Thats the area for the square.
    Multiply 7x4=28/2=14 inches squared.

  2. You need to do base times height. For a triangle the formula is half the base times height.
    (hope this helps)

  3. For the square we would multiply 7x7 and for the triangle we would multiply 7x4 and divide by 2. Then we would get the answer.

  4. the way i would find the area of both of the shapes was by looking at the number of inches on the length of the triangle(7 inches)and it looks like there the same size as the rectangle's side so for the rectangle the area is 49=7*7 and for the triangle it's 14=7*4/2

  5. the area of the triangle is 14 b/c I did 7x7/2. the area of the square is 49 b/c 7x7=49

  7. first i would do 7*7/2 which equals 24.5
for the square it would be 7*7 which equals 49unsq

  8. For the square:

You have to mutlply the base by the height(7*7) which makes the area 49in.

    For the triangle:

Yopu have to multiply the base by the height(7*4)which give you an total of 28.Then you have to divide the total by 2 which makes the area 14in.
