The base for the square is 16 in. I did this by dividing the area by the number of sides. The same formula works for the triangle. Also, you can find the base by finding the square root of the area. EX: A= 18 in. The square root of this number lies between the perfect squares of 4 (16) and 5 (25.) Next, you have to find the decimal. The square root of this number is closer to the perfect square of 16. The decimal is 4.3 which equals 18.49. The base of the square is 8 because 8 x 8 = 64. jahery
The triangles base is 9 and the height is 2. I got this by dividing 2 and 18 wich is 9. I got the sqaures base and height because the base equals 8 i mulityplyide it by 8 wich is 64in squared. Reynaldo =]

ReplyDeleteThe base and height for the square is 8 because 8x8=64 un sq. And the base for the triangle is 3 and the height is 6 because 6x3=18 un sq.

for both the shapes u have to find the square root. so for the square its 8x8=64 and and 4 the triangle it 4.3 which equals 18.49
